These are just snippets of the concert. You have to go see it yourself! I greatly enjoyed @JamesLindenHogg and his father at the concert in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the new Kellerman-Lorimier Hall ( @kellermanfoundation ) Thanks to all who made this possible. If you get a chance to see James, I would recommend it. He plays many instruments and has a unique and pleasant voice. Such talent! O...

76 Mall!
@@delano62 Exciting!
@@MyCornerOnline It's just that the place has been there since I was a kid back in the 70"s.
I remember in 1980, I was 15 and a teen in Gatlinburg, it was a long 13 years before this footage was recorded, but I remember gatlinburg not busy with political propaganda, tourist traps, and busy with at least 50 people crossing the road at once, it’s still nice living in gatlinburg, especially with my son, but it doesn’t feel the same anymore. I but I respect that Gatlinburg is getting more attention from visiting families and tourists, And 1980 was also the year I moved to Gatlinburg with my family, where I still live today.
@@keegansaur458 Thanks for sharing. That sounds like similar memories I have of my home town. I sometimes wish for the old days.
I went to Gatlinburg once.
What were your thoughts about it?
I really like that pink variety..I put anise hyssop that has purple-blue flowers in my garden this year. I Love your garden, all the variety is beautiful. Do you have any New England asters? They are a great late summer bloomer that really pop
@@SpruceDodger I have some purple ones too that are taller. Black Adder. Made a video last year. Thanks for your kind words. Yes I have New England Asters. I think I did that video last year. I just finished cutting them way back yesterday. I will let them go now and they should bloom this Autumn. They do take some maintenance trimming them back all year to keep them from sprawling everywhere. So I only have one patch. They need to be cut back all year like mums do otherwise they will bloom too early.
What time of year do you transplant?
Hi Peggy. These are just finishing blooming here in Missouri. They are different than other bulbs in reverse with foliage coming first. Now is actually a good time to transplant them because you can see where the bulbs are in the ground. After the stem is cut down you have nothing to show where they are in the ground. Do NOT transplant them after the foliage comes up in the Spring. That foliage needs to die back so the nutrients go into the bulb so that they can bloom later in the summer. So anytime between after blooming and when the foliage comes up next Spring is an okay time to transplant them.
@@MyCornerOnline thank you so much! I have some that I need to move. I will wait for them to finish blooming.
We just had an explosion of "Suprise/ Resurrection" flowers, how can I send you a picture 🖼?
@@Rodfather001 I replied to you post on Facebook. Awesome flowers!
Those are so beautiful! I need to plant zinnias next year!
@@kellyloves2fish Do it! They are SO easy!
Hellooo from Gatlinburg TN! Wow! I moved to Gatlinburg in 1993 ..Wish the video of Pigeon Forge was better ..lol. Oh well .. such a great blast from the past
@@TheGatlinburgHussey Hello from Missouri. Two sister states we live in, in this awesome country.
Hello! I do Vlogs Daily here in Gatlinburg now and this was great! Come say hi if you'd like @@MyCornerOnline
@@TheGatlinburgHussey I did watch a few of your videos. You are a happy-go kind of guy. :)
Thanks for this video. I visited there in 1965.
@@aliensojourner I’m glad you enjoyed it.
So pretty…zinnias for me always seems to grow taller than they advertise. My dwarf zinnias are now two feet tall…oh well!
Oh goodness. Not good news for me! I have never tried to grow the short ones before so this is my first experience with them getting tall anyway. Only the one variety is short and its flowers are tiny but I kind of like them. I am on a mission to find my favorite short zinnia! Let me know if you find one.
Hi dad. 😂
Sending to my father. Lol. Current is our happy place. So beautiful!! Nice video❤
oh! I was wondering when you said "Hi Dad" because I am a Mom! lol I am glad your Dad will find this video a happy one. It is one of my favorite places too.
I discovered Gomphrena a few years back now it’s always in my garden. Started with purple, then orange, this year I grew some red from seed
Thanks for the confirmation that others love it as much as I do! I do not like reds, but I try to stick with purples and pinks in my garden, with a few yellows and oranges. I was going to do seed this year, but time did not prevail. I am SO going to do seed next year!
Flowers onlumy for a week? Oops.just bought it on dlsale from Costco. I also have Kwanza.
@@Mariefrancegrsce Yes flowers only a week but I love the shape of the tree year round.
@@MyCornerOnline oops very expensive for 1 week only...do you know any tree 🌳that blooms for long time?
I love Boston ferns. Thanks for sharing 💚

@@Mastermind-s5p Thanks for the feedback. It’s good to know what people want.
Do you see many snakes in the water?
@@kellyloves2fish None. They stay away from people.
i miss that branson,,, gas prices too
@@stevepmo I loved it when gas prices were $.99.
People say that in the 90s, the border was peaceful. It wasn't peaceful in that era and now it is much worse than along time ago.
That is sad that it is worse.
@MyCornerOnline , yeah, but there is nothing that we can't do about it. It's only about politics. If 100 of population in the border act bravely, maybe the government will listen or not to our protest.
@@MegaOsvaldo18 Everything always has to be so difficult.
A bit of joy indeed!
God is good.
You are beautiful! Amazing garden!
My garden is a joy. Not so sure I’m beautiful. :)
Current river looks beautiful
It is! Looks kind of green in the video but when you look straight down it’s clear. I love that place!
I'd love to kayak the Current River but I'm afraid of the current. I can't seem to get away from lakes, no-wake lakes for that matter. Great video!
Oh hey! It’s so good to see you! Your videos have not showed up in my stream so I’ll have to come make a point to look at your videos. There were children on the Current River and I know you have the skill level. I think you just need to, get over your fear and go with some people you trust. Of course, always respect the river. It can be dangerous. But the only way to learn to read the river is to go and do it. My kayak buddy moved to the state of Washington. I need a new kayak buddy. I went this time with my son, but he’s not going to be around normally.
@@MyCornerOnline Yeah. I'm not the best swimmer but I wear a life jacket always. I guess I'm afraid of falling off my kayak mostly.
@@HikingWithShawn I can see that being scary if you don’t swim well. Everyone “swims” some. Most of the time when I flip I can either stand up or just half swim to the bank. But there are those other situations. It’s always best to stick together as a buddy system to help each other out if needed.
The spring greens are apparently also quite edible. My local bunny rabbit population seems to agree, one of their favorite plants to munch on.
Well that's interesting. This plant is so tall the bunny rabbits cannot reach it in my yard.
Your phlox is really nice! Thanks for explaining the difference between moss phlox and creeping phlox)
I just learned that differencr myself! I did not see creeping phlox in the stores until late Spring. They sold them at different times.
I love it
Ah thanks!
Lovely. Wish it was mine.
Ah. Thanks. It brings me joy.
Got my gardens lookin nice. Then, yesterday, a huge limb fell on alot of it. Thanks for the flower fuel ❤
Oh no! That’s so frustrating. Getting the limb out will be tough but then rebuilding won’t be profitable until next year.
I so enjoy hearing your voice! I may look for this plant. So cute.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment. I am really like it. I am trying to think where I can spread it to elsewhere in the garden. Mine are just blooming for the first time, but I saw some photos online of larger groupings of them that were just beautiful.
Wow! It is so different than what it is today. I would love to travel back to that time and experience the "good old days" again. Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
I love Monarda too! I put a few new varieties in my garden this year 😊
Are you planting shorter or taller varieties? Is there one you found that you like more than others I might look for?
@@MyCornerOnline I planted shorter ones this time. Not sure of the varieties, but one is red and another has purplish flowers. I had one already last season that was my “Queen of the garden”, she was pink and over three feet tall and just as wide. I divided her this year. Still pretty new to the Monarda world so I’m still discovering what’s out there 😁
@@SpruceDodger Ah! "Queen of the Garden" -- love it! Thanks for sharing. I try to stick with pinks and purples, with some yellow as a theme in my garden. No reds. I also try to stick with 2 foot and under plants mostly just because I am trying to make the garden easier on me as I get older. The bigger it is, the more work to get rid of it when it is cut back. I love that you divided it already though! It sounds gorgeous! I love my Bubble Gum one that is new here. It is a perfect height and showy and I cannot wait to divide it too!
Beautiful bee balm! Thanks for sharing your garden:)
So nice of you to comment. Bee Balm and Yarrow are the two I really want to spread.
Got hurt don’t risk it
Oh no! So sorry you got hurt. The waters downstream seemed calm but those rocks not so much.
I was sucked in it
That's horrible!
Amazing place we were there this weekend horses smallmouth scenery and good people.
I'm not much of a fishing person, but the water's edge is always perfect!
I love your garden so much!
Thank you! I appreciate your kind comment.
Your yarrow is so beautiful!! I love the red ones.
Thank you! I’ve only recently started growing them and I’m going to be dividing them to spread them.
Thank you for uploading this! Really enjoyed looking at your garden:)
So glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate you taking time to watch it.
woahh... your garden is beautiful.
Oh thank you! In previous years I did walk through videos. I am thinking I might do one again soon.
@@MyCornerOnline Oh, I can't wait to see that. Also, I told my mother about your flowers, and she told me that she had an allium flower that she bought at the market, but after it bloomed, it died.
@@maggie_grc Yes. Alliums are bulbs. Like all bulbs, they bloom for a while and then die. You have to leave the leaves until they die back as the nutrients go back into the bulb. If you bought them at a market, they would not be planted in the ground. If you plant them in the ground, you may not get flowers the next year, but they should come up and you can let the leaves die back and then you would get flowers the next year.
@@MyCornerOnline ohh, I see... Thank you for the info, and God bless you and your family! ☺
We always stayed at the Silver Slipper! It was the closest to SDC :)

Im watching this today on may 15 2024...i loved seeing the older footage when branson was great to visit...thank u for sharing it...brought back so many memories to me
I’m so glad to hear that. Makes my effort to convert from VHS to upload worthwhile.
Hello there! Just found your channel, as I'm drinking this exact tea (well from 2023). I agree with your assessment - the cinnamon is not there. There's maybe a bit of a dry tingle. I found the dominant tastes/aromas were roasted, wood, roots. Kind of reminded me of toasted tobacco (from eons ago when I smoked) but without tobacco's astringency. No chocolate or fruity notes as the yunnan sourcing description said either, but I'm not disappointed. I really like this tea. Funny thing though - I found another ooling (also from yunnan sourcing) the "Fancy Tie Guan Yun of Anxi Iron Goddess Oolong Tea of Fujian" absolutely had a pronounced cinnamon/clove bite, which was very interesting. I was confused!
How fun! Another person just like me! It loves all the little nuances and picking them out about tea. I might’ve had that Tia Guan Yin. I am currently stuck on one from Yunnan sourcing called Ben Shan (I think). I love roasted oolongs. So stuck on them. I have not been able to do a tea tasting video in a while, but I hope to do some someday.
@@MyCornerOnline I hope you enjoy whatever you happen to have in your cup :) Yeah! I'm really liking roasted oolongs as well. I want to try more of them.
Such beautiful flowers!
Awww! Thanks so much friend!
I really love this plant! I want to grow it here.
I wonder if it would ship okay and not die for postal delays. Hmm. I could dig up one as they do spread slowly and I have extra. I think you might be able to grow it as a houseplant. I'm not sure. It would be fun to try.
I found them randomly growing in my garden this year.
That may be how mine got there too. They do spread but they also easily pull out in the Spring. if you want to keep some in your bed, just be sure to recognize the leaves and pull them early in the year (Spring) and keep it maintained to a small space. The leaves look just like crocus leaves to me only a little taller.
Thanks for the information
You're welcome! And thanks for the comment. I am actually about to record a new video with more details on Purple Poppy Mallow soon. I'm waiting for it to get to blooming more.
lol my transplant tag-a-longs always seems to be dandelions or the like…very cool allium 😊
Love it -- Transplant tag-a-longs! What a fun phrase! Yes, the coreopsis must have been underground when I moved it. It'll look great when the Hanging Bells are dying back to cover it up. What a happy happenstance of a tag-a-long!
Just did this trail very nice
I’m ready to do it again! We went the other way too. The next year. There’s a video. Link in description should take you to website where both videos are embedded. I like the trip to the tunnel better. But next time we might go from the tunnel north and back.
